This is a perfect afternoon visit for the light independent explorer who simply has a love for dogs or wants to learn more about a great dog sled operation at Muktuk Adventures.

Visit a fantastic lodge in the Takhini Valley where you will have access to roam the dog yard and visit with the dogs and puppies at your own leisure. Chat with the yard crew to learn about dog care and the responsibilities of ranch operations and stories of their furry friends. Take pictures with the freedom to relax in a wilderness setting, enjoy inside the lodge that has dog sledding memorabilia with refreshments available. All levels welcome.

What’s included in the price?
GST is included. The minimum customary donation of $10 is also included – if you have a great time there, they always appreciate larger donations.
Appreciated tips/gratuities for our guides, refreshments or merchandise at Muktuk are NOT included.

What do I need to bring?
Dress for the weather and wear clothing you don’t mind getting dirt or dog hair on, camera, sturdy footwear (uneven gravel, sand & dirt in places).

How long can we stay?
Usually we give you 1.0 – 2.0 hours depending on the schedule for the day.

Do I get to go dogsledding?
No, this is to visit and hang out with the dogs. Dog sled tour prices are more expensive than this tour. Check directly with the Muktuk office for those.

Do we offer dogsledding?
No, however we work with a few other dog sled tour companies and can help you book and transport you out to their kennels for an experience. Please inquire with us for availability.

*Did you know…dogsled companies are located outside of Whitehorse due to the space they require to operate? It takes 30mins to 1hr to travel to the kennels in winter road conditions. Please view the ‘Why Us‘ page on the Community Connections tab to view other dogsled/adventure group affiliations.
